About David

I’m David Gold! I’m an actor, filmmaker, and storyteller originally from San Dimas, California.

I’ve always loved movies, and I found my passion for the arts when I was young — one of my earliest memories is pretending to be Peter Pan. And when I moved to Pennsylvania in kindergarten and started taking an art class, I absolutely fell in love with it.

I knew I wanted to become an actor when I was in 5th grade: on a phone call with my dad, I explained that we were learning about Walt Disney in class and how he created The Walt Disney Company, and my dad, a veteran of the entertainment industry himself, told me stories about his experiences — including with Disney. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to be in movies and become an actor.

I began by making home videos with my brother and eventually started my own YouTube Channel, where I posted original skits and short films with my friends. As I got older, I began acting in plays and musicals and learned how to sing and dance: I took lessons in tap, jazz, and ballet.
I’ve been in over 100 short films and been a part of multiple workshops, including a Broadway professional workshop through A Class Act New York (ACANY). I’ve also taken voice lessons with Broadway actors and former opera performers for over 3 years, and I’m continuously trying to hone my skills.

Currently, I’m studying acting at West Chester University and building up my experience as an actor.
